I feel like they got me. That is only possible if I buy an additional "kit" $50.00 I can't even use the adapter from my old serius unit because they have changed the size of the plug. I may just return it. I bought this unit, for my home, to replace an old JVC unit that the display has failed. I thought I was buying a unit that I could use in my house.
One call to customer service (Saturday afternoon) was a pleasant experience and they answered my question promptly without having to wait on hold. The sound is amazing clear. I highly recommend this radio. I received this Sirius radio for my birthday and completely love it. It was very easy to install.
This is smaller than older models and the appearance and screen are top-notch. I won't need to plan on purchasing a new in-dash for our Sequoia because this just gave our listening experience and options an extended life. purchased the Sportster5 to replace a Sportster in our 2001 Toyota Sequoia SUV. With the wired FM relay, I was simply stunned at the clarity and static-free signal that we received. Highly recommend. The vehicle kit is excellent and includes sufficient details on how to properly route the antenna wire through different vehicle configurations (sedan, SUV, PU truck). I strongly recommend that, if your vehicle radio does not have an AUX input, that you get the Wired FM relay to go with this (also available on Amazon).
Highly recommend. Purchased two of these for Christmas and they are absolutely wonderful. Easy to install and setup.
You'll get a call center in the caribbean and no one knows company policy and you'll get the run around. Never resolved and just gave up. Everyone I know loves this product and sirius radio is here to stay. When I requested a supervisor, I was put on hold for twenty minutes before I just hung up and called back. Now I'm sitting with an egift certificate that I can't use for subscription time, even though it clearly states on the web site it is refundable. Whatever you do, avoid the aggravation of having to call customer service. It's awful.
